Overview
A deep ocean mound near Scripps Canyon, Murray Head will not disappoint. The topography levels onto sandy ledges with overhangs, and runs to 300'. Around 150' the seawall becomes littered with life. Few divers have been on it.
What to See
Nudibranchs, rockfish, and giant sheepshead, plus giant gorgonians. Life thickens below about 150'.
Typical Conditions
Technical dive (Advanced Nitrox/Deco/Extended Range or equivalent required). Cold, deep, possible current.
