They never expire
Gift certificates sold in California cannot carry an expiration date (CA Civil Code §1749.5), so there is no clock on it. The recipient dives when the diving suits them.
Any amount you like
Pick a dollar figure rather than a specific trip. It is redeemable against any Marissa Charters trip up to the certificate value, so the recipient chooses the dive.
Good on every trip
Wreck Alley, Point Loma kelp, a technical day, or the full-day run to the Coronado Islands. Whatever they have been meaning to book.
Picking an amount
Current trip prices, so you can cover a whole day rather than part of one. These include all taxes, the booking fee and the fuel surcharge.

Gear is not included in a trip price. Rentals run through House of Scuba at $57 or $89 depending on the package, plus a $20 pickup and dropoff fee — worth adding to the certificate if the recipient does not own a kit yet.

The fine print
- A gift certificate does not reserve a date. The recipient still books through the normal flow, subject to availability — so for a popular weekend, book early.
- A gift certificate is not redeemable for cash.
- If a certificate is used to book and the diver no-shows, the trip is charged at full list price. The cancellation policy applies the same way it does to any other booking.
